MISGIF Teams Up with Dsquared Homes for the Homeless to Serve Tempe

Giving Back with Every Snapshot

At MISGIF Photo Booths, creating unforgettable corporate event experiences is what we do best—but giving back to our Arizona community is just as important. That’s why we launched our GIF Back Club initiative, a commitment to partnering with local Arizona nonprofits that make a real impact. One of our proudest collaborations? Our ongoing partnership with Dsquared Homes for the Homeless.

What Are “Good Neighbor Bags”?

In collaboration with Dsquared, the Tempe Public Library and the City of Tempe’s H.O.P.E. (Homeless Outreach Prevention Effort) Team, we help pack and sponsor Good Neighbor Bags—lightweight, on-the-go care kits filled with essentials that included the following items.

• Socks
• Granola bars
• Soap, shampoo, tampons
• Water bottles and hand sanitizer

These bags are distributed by outreach teams to Tempe residents experiencing homelessness—offering support where it’s needed most, especially during Arizona’s triple-digit heat.

The Need in Tempe and Arizona is Real

Maricopa County in Arizona recently released new data showing what your heart already knew. Homelessness is rising—and fast. In fact, just since last year overall homelessness is up 3% and unsheltered homeless is up 28%. In total, 9,734 individuals experienced homeless in Maricopa County, AZ on the night of January 27, 2025 when the conducted the Point-In-Time (PIT) Homeless Count.

In Tempe, Arizona specifically at least 266 individuals experienced homelessness in Tempe in 2024, according to the City of Tempe’s latest survey — a number that’s likely an undercount.

Many face extreme heat, dehydration, and limited access to hygiene products. As psychiatric nurse practitioner Nina Gomez from Circle the City notes, “The stress from the heat really exacerbates psychosis, and then it becomes so much harder to get people in to engage in any services.”

That’s why these care kits matter—they’re simple, tangible acts of kindness that help ease some of the burdens our neighbors face each day.

A Year-Round Commitment to the Community

Thanks to Dsquared’s incredible leadership, MISGIF has been able to sponsor and assemble 800+ Good Neighbor Bags to-date right at our Tempe, Arizona office, that have been delivered to the Tempe Public Library, where the H.O.P.E. Team ensures they reach those in need.

It’s a team effort—and we’re grateful to collaborate with other generous local businesses like Parties on Purpose and The Westin Tempe, who’ve contributed toiletries and supplies to make the bags even more impactful.
